The Ultimate All-in-One IoT Gateway Solution Introducing the MikroTik KNOT LR8 kit, a versatile and powerful out-of-the-box IoT Gateway designed for LoRa technology. This device is the ultimate connectivity tool, seamlessly bridging a multitude of protocols and technologies to bring even the most remote or tricky areas online.
Whether you're in agriculture, asset tracking, cold chain monitoring, or industrial manufacturing, the KNOT provides a flexible, low-cost connectivity solution. Unmatched Connectivity Options The KNOT is engineered for exceptional versatility, featuring a comprehensive array of connectivity options.
It integrates 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, LoRa, and two 100 Mbps Ethernet ports with PoE-in and PoE-out capabilities. It also supports Narrow Band and CAT-M technology, low-cost cellular connections supported by countless mobile operators globally. This allows the KNOT to serve as a backup connection for Ethernet or as a primary management channel for your network.
The device includes a pre-installed UDP packet forwarder to any public or private LoRa servers, supporting 8 different channels. Advanced Functionality for Modern IoT Beyond simple connectivity, the KNOT is a powerful tool for sophisticated IoT applications. It can monitor onboard GPIOs, convert Modbus protocol to TCP, and forward Bluetooth packets to a TCP/IP network via HTTPS and MQTT.
This allows you to bring wireless connectivity to wired legacy devices like electricity meters and relays. For asset tracking, the KNOT can utilize Bluetooth advertisement packets from any BLE tag (including iBeacon and Eddystone formats) with powerful filters to forward only relevant data. The integrated GPS support makes it an ideal solution for tracking mobile assets.
Robust and Ready for Any Environment Built for demanding professional environments, the KNOT is powered by a 650 MHz CPU and 64 MB of RAM, running the powerful RouterOS v7. It's designed to operate in extreme conditions, with a tested ambient temperature range of -40C to 70C. With multiple powering options including a DC jack, PoE-in, and MicroUSB, and a low maximum power consumption, it's both flexible and efficient.
The kit comes with a DIN rail mount for easy integration into industrial cabinets and outdoor setups. Key Features: 8-channel LoRa 863-870 MHz Gateway. 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 4 (802.11b/g/n) and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. Narrow Band and CAT-M cellular technology for low-cost IoT. 2x 100 Mbps Ethernet ports with 802.3af/at PoE-in and PoE-out.
